Stuart Davis: I think there's a reading of your life story that I'm guessing you don't actually agree with but it'd be like even if you've got structural disadvantages, lost family, a black woman in racist America. So what are the morals that could be drawn from your move from kind of like precarity to stability? Well, I don't think it's as easy as you know, pull yourself up by your bootstraps if you read a lot, everything will work out. It's more about gathering that community.
