The Coma of the Comet
Comets come from way out, deep in the solar system and are made of a dust and dried ice. As they get closer to the sun, there's all these solids in em that sublimate them. This is when something goes straight from a solid to a gas,. rather than going into liquid um. It's like dry ice. So if you can imagine this big ball of dry ice getting closer to the Sun, heating up, and then all that dry ice sort of becomes this fog, and the comet gets fuzzy. That big fog is called the coma of the comet. And these comas can get super huge. They can get like, a as big as a
