How to Deal With Depression

Negative rumination is depression symptom numero uno. When you catch yourself judging others or situations, that is when you are in a state of judgment towards yourself. We all do this as a way to self-protect. It's like the ego's way of controlling what feels dangerous and outside of our control. I use the pedistaling word for separating myself from my own experience by placing someone else on a pedestal. In that act, I'm removing myself from an active position with no intention of doing anything about it. So take heart. We all share a lot more than we think we do.
