Judge Motley becomes the queen of New York politics. She is invited to run for state Senate and then she becomes Manhattan borough president. Her family is racially mixed and there are people who write in to say she's not even black. But she has to go through a lot in those positions but it just opens the door to another professional achievement, that is the federal bench.
