UBS Is in Talks to Take Over Credit Suisse
FTE finds out that asset management firm BlackRock is considering ways to carve up Credit Suisse. But almost as soon as BlackRock's planes touch down in Zurich, they get a pretty severe message from the Swiss establishment. They do not want a foreign firm coming in and carving it. One of our national icons, so thank you very much for your interest, but we will be sorting this out ourselves. The two banks retreat further into their war rooms and work all night on this. Less than 48 hours until markets in Asia open, still no deal.
