Did John Winrod Really Want to Take America by Storm?

John Winrod was also a huge fan of the protocols of the Elders of Zion and of course the Father Coughlin. In 1938, one of Kansas' Senate seats was open and Winrod decided the Democratic incumbent looked vulnerable. John Winrod's plan was to win election in 1938 and then ride the surely forming red wave into the Republican nomination for the 1940 presidential election. He started a radio show and bought time on stations all over the country,. mostly lamenting the state of the economy and making veiled references to Jews.
