Is There More to the Theory of Social Systems?

I was very unstructured in my study, so I was very curious about the neighboring disciplines and went to lectures far off the beaten track of my discipline. So it was a setup that made the need for a better system obvious. And then I became very much interested in Nicholas Lumen's theory of social systems. That started with an interest in his work, not in his writing technique. In creative process often you have this kind of chance that two or three things suddenly come in contact with each other and out of that some kind of insight is born.
