The Importance of Local Machine Shops
I was working at a tech startup that's doing computer vision stuff and has some hardware aspects to that. I was designing parts to get made for that hardware stuff as sort of an engineer. And there was big problems with I was inexperienced. So we were realizing that set out to make that problem easier for all machine shops. It turns out you can design a machine tool, you can build it from scratch. Doesn't mean you can run it, which was I guess the biggest oversight we had at the time.
