There's not an entire mechanism established for in terms of scientific rigor of testing lifestyle changes. So maybe the doctors just lean towards the simpler studies over and over, which is what the drug companies fund. They can control more variables. See, but the control there is sometimes by hiding things too, right? Sometimes you can just say that this is a well controlled study by pretending there's a bunch of other stuff just ignoring the stuff that could be correlated. And I mean, it just doesn't make sense to me.
