The state cannot be sovereign per se, and that it's because the conception of sovereignty that is endeavored to be used is not coherent. The notion of liberty represents the degree to which an aristocracy has right to limit the power of monarchy. And I would say that both the concept of the sovereign state and in a meaningful sense, the sovereign individual, are in fact nonsense.
