There's so much research supporting a systemic approach to individual quote psychopathology that at this point it's kind of frankly frustrating and sad that the dominant psychiatric establishment hasn't just said okay look this is a more effective way of treating. When you get to kids and conduct disorder oh my goodness there's four major groups multi-dimensional family therapy which are all empirically validated treatments for kids with conduct disorder oppositional defined disorder and substance use and overuse very well documented effects of working from an eco systemic perspective.
