The Importance of Forgiveness

Forgiveness is a super-rerogatory moral virtue. It's not one that must be done under all circumstances, as in altruism. If you're ready to forgive someone who isn't sorry for what they've done or maybe even doesn't recognize what they did was hurtful, then you can go ahead and do it. That's how freeing forgiveness can be.
