My First Love Was the City, and I Loved It
My first love, I think, was the city. My parents always stayed in the city. They never moved out to the suburbs. And that sort of love and that obsession was made most tangible by maps. So I taught myself how to program because I wanted to learn how to draw a map on the screen. Then I put some dots on the map, and then I learned how to move the dots around.
