The Romans and the Samnites - The Story of Postumius

I suspect that the story of postumius surrender is overblown. The romans would have had no interest in allowing history to repeat itself. Perhaps the five year lay off was simply rome being cautious. Clearly, the samnites were more clever than they had been given credit for. Next week we will pick up when hostilities begin again around three 15 b c.
