Ampathy Is Not Sympathy

Ampathy is not sympathy. Sympathy can feel somewhat condescending to the person that you're being sympathetic towards. Ampathetic doesn't necessarily mean agreement. Write, you could agreewi while being ampathetic. Or you could totally disagree with the person, but still be amPathetic.
