The History of Sarah Tall's School
John Tall came into his wife Sarah's life when she was setting up the school in Birkhamstead. His values were on the surface at least very in line with the with the Quaker values of philanthropy and giving and education, particularly women's education. The Tall's lived in a building which still stands - it is now the Red and White House. Hillary, Injerald and Meg took me there during our tour of Birkhamsted.
