Wisdom Literature in the Style of Solomon

This is wisdom literature in the style of in the flourishing wisdom literature era of Solomon. After Solomon gets mentioned in this opening line, we don't hear from him again until almost halfway through the document when it looks like he shows up at the wedding. And they're using similes and metaphors that I found very confusing and off-putting when I was a kid. This is hard for me to picture how that would be attractive.
