Retrieving Information Can Increase Memory, It Can Change Memory, and It Can Also Produce Rememberting
Research has shown that retrieving certain memories can also make it more difficult to retrieve other memories. We are often, unknowingly, i think, sculpting our memories by virtue of what we choose to review from experiences. I feel like that really resonates with me, because there are definitely holidays i went on as a tenage that i have pictures of and when try and remember that holiday, 90 % of my memories now are actually of the pictures. Well, that's, that's really crazy.
