The Risk of Private Equity Takeouts in North America

I hear so many people who are worried about, oh, what happens if private equity comes and pays a 30% premium to the share price and takes me out before the growth. And I absolutely do hear it. But there is a lot of survivorship bias where I know a lot of people who private equity firms take out their companies and they are furious. Like one, not to dunk on anyone. If you're going for the next great company and you're right, well, guess what? Getting that 10 X taken away from you is insane.
