Cleopatra was a problem for octavianas as long as she was around fist, he'd declare war on cleopatra. Octavian can't allow ptolemy caesar to to live so what's he going to do? Kill him. And then say to cleopatra, no hard feelings, you know, just come to rome. So there are all sorts of reasons why he wants her off the stage. He most definitely wants her oldest son off the stage and explain what happens to him.
