Does That Make It Difficult for Civil Servants?
Nick Clegg signed a declaration of incompatibility when he put the House of Lords reform legislation into parliament. The reason why Nick Clegg did was because of the Prison of Voting issue that was around at the time. So it's not a suggestion that kind of flies around that means that this is some sort of slam dunk, this is unlawful legislation. But where we've landed up, there is a question about how Home Office Civil Servants are reacting. On this narrow point, I think the government's in the clear for the moment.
