Did John Florio Learn From Bruno?
Giordano Bruno was the great master of the art of memory. He published many works on this subject, including Santo's Churchels and Sione Lampass de Ginte Satoiro. John Florio borrowed not just proverbs, but with the sayings, fancy quotations that he found in his books. In 1591Florio published a bilingual language bless us man or a second fruit, with a collection of 6,000 Italian proverbs. The book is called Giardino di Recrazione - A garden of recreation.
