Is There a Microbe in the Milky Way?
Our galaxy contains about 400 billion stars. Up to a fifth of these are about four billion, have planets that orbit within what we call the habitable zone. If only point one % of those star systems harbor life, ah, we'd still be looking at a million planets with some sort of life. We're not instantly talking space faring civilizationsy quite the opposite. I probably like microbe, yes. Organism rock faring microbes,. Maybe, maybe, if we're lucky, some kind of higher order multi cellular life.
