The Challenges of Doing Randomized Controlled Trials
The lab is able to investigate a lot of different conditions and you know again we're starting to sort of dip our toes in the water. We're not doing a lot of these huge full on randomized controlled trials strategically it makes sense to do a smaller study make sure that it seems to be well tolerated and effective in some way before you know investing the resources to do these big studies. Fred Barrett does have a nice big randomized trial now and people with co-occurring major depression and alcohol use disorder, Dave Gaiden is working on a study of people with obsessive compulsive disorder so you know really starting to see the field expand and that's I think really exciting time because of that
