Small Cald and the Augsburg Confession Church

Smallcald is the latest in a series of disputes between Luther and Roman Catholic authorities. The dispute has implications all the way back to when luther wrote his 95 theses 20 years ago. There are still calls for an actual general council of the entire church be called to decide these questions. This will happen m eventually, in the council of trent, but that doesn't mean necessarily the lutherans will be invited to participate by that point.
