A number of shock therapeses emerged lorry in the late twenties, early thirties. From labotamis on to e t t, electro convulsive therapy. Some bright spark decided that putting the patients out for an extended period might cure their mental illness. And helatat that often produced convulsions, a near death experience for many of them. Sometimes it did s death that persisted int into the sixties.
