The Eerie and the Destabilizing Functions of Art

I think that there's definitely a tie in to make. And I brought this up earlier that the eerie does, in a sense, its primary function is to destabilize via some form of deterritorialization. So right, the thing means something here and it means something completely different there. But at a certain point, the eeriness of particular things can also bring to the foreground of something, its purest, most problematic elements.
