Drug Control - Is There a Relationship Between Legalization and Crime?
There is mixed evidence on whether medico canabi legalization impacted crime. One study has found that recreation cannabas us. Didn't have any impact on major crimes in colorado or washington state. In states that have legalized canabas for recreational purposes, we see weigh less arrests than in states that have no legalized it. But there are still racial disparities in these arrests. For example, even though there was a decreese an arrest like we see, the people are still more likely than white people to be arrested for canabas. And at the federal level, you know, i'm doing a lot of clemency work with an organization called nunsement expung
