Teaching Mandarin for Children in a Virtual Environment
I think many of us are struggling in the virtual environment right now. The first thing I would say is try and bring in some gamification of the learning. Try using a whiteboard and you can set up a kind of a document camera for your whiteboard very easily. Remember from our first episode, motivation or intrinsic motivation doing something out of pure love and interest and joy means we need to feel autonomous,. We need to feel competent and we need to feeling a sense of connectedness or belonging or relatedness.
