Isaiah's Great Complaint

In the ancient world of Isaiah's day, students repeat back to the teacher what the teacher says. They don't really understand necessarily because they haven't figured it out for themselves. So they're following those who know or think they know, the doctrine. And that is Isaiah's great complaint and it's repeated over and over in the Book of Mormon.
