The Woodrow Wilson White House and the League of Nations

Colonel House was known as Wilson's closest advisor and basically controlled and told him what to do. His best friend Colonel House's best friend was the head of British intelligence in America. And I have read that Wilson's second wife caught on to this little cabal and she was instrumental in banning both Wiseman and House from the White House. If that's true, if that story is actually accurate she probably should be credited as one of the great patriots of American history.
