Is It a Detriment to Have a Good Memory?

It's an interesting question because there are these groups of people that seem to have photographic memory. And then the question is, does that hinder them in some way? I mean, it seems like most of those people function just normally. They just seem to have this really specific domain that they can remember things. But it's not generalizable to everything.
