The Crab Nebula, a Pulsar
You can hear in their voices that they're realizing that they've seen this pulse or flickering invisible light. And it also really helped us understand what these pole sawers were. With the o telescope, with a visible light, you could really pin down exactly where this thing was. We knew then that it really was at the heart of the crab nebula, and it really was a pulsar. So a very exciting discovery, and very quickly appreciated by the scientific community.
