Clinicians said they didn't see a single young person for whom everything was fine apart from their gender identity. Many said that these were the most complicated, distressed and traumatized young people they'd ever worked with. And even if some of those young people, you know, were trans and would benefit from transitioning, they're not in the right place to do it safely.
