Castradi - A Castradi That Were Bbitten by Swans
The practice of castration occupied a very ambiguous place in the cano collective imagination and in the culture. For instance, the church needed castradi to deliver the music they needed to produce in the mass. At the same time as the church forbade castration for anything but medical procedures. So it was necessary for the parents of castrato to fabricate some kind of false medical reason why the castration needed to happen. And often what they would give as a reason is some accident involving an animal.
