The Cosmos Is a Different World
The cosmos is ginormous and expansive. And the histories are huge and diverse and we have very little information about any of it. There's nothing about Jesus that says we should actually be an imperialist. So maybe we shouldn't think that we're chucking the heart of Christianity if we actually think our neighbors can bless us and our enemies can be the place we work out our salvation with fear and trembling. The mind of Christ will still be something we should probably be figuring out as a collective how to embody in 10 years time.
