What Is the Role of Facts in Decision Making?
So much of what we do, our decisions and our behavior are guided unconsciously. We imagine ourselves to be in that five % of the time that we're doing something consciously and with great intention. But you don't know, because it's unconscious, we can't perceive it. So let's suppose that i'm a smart person listening to this, then the natural followon question is, what is the role of facts indecision making and influence? Then it's a really deep question. And facts are simply less persuasive than we think. It doesn't make them less important than we think, but they're less persuasive thanwe think.
