Is There a Problem With Design Proteins?

There are two potential problems as you mentioned there's off-target effects other types of interacting unwanted interactions with say other proteins and an immune response. The first one is not going to be a huge issue the specificity because in all the tests we've done with our design proteins they tend to be very very specific for their intended target. How the immune system in particular the immune human immune system will deal with those is an open question but I can say so far in in model animals we have not seen much immune response.
