Editing - The Last Stage of Storytelling

i'm curious, editingis the last stage of story telling. What was something important you learned about your episodes through editing? And especially if there were scenes that had to be cut out)? It's pasing funny, like i said earlier, i'm quite, you know, i get quite hung up on logic and story  and am a lot of directors probably do this too. But what what marvel were very good at that i just had to so o relax into a was essentially "its frogt ouknow, ends"
