A Christmas Carol
In Our Time: Culture
A Novel About a Man's Misery, by Micason
Scrooge's misery and meanness for the first part of the book very, very seriously. Almost to a point where he becomes grotesque. And that's why the process of conversion is so spectacularly appealingto te reader. We are with him in the sense that dickens says that i met the reader. You're the reader side, like a ghost. Scrooge dead to humanity, and of course, literally dead before our eyes towards the end of the book. The nensas you're putting therrow and very illuminatidg, but still, it's wonderful.
