Some male staff fired Molotov cocktails to startle the work compound security officers, then dozens raced from the building. So men and dark uniforms chasing frantically after them waving sticks, land and twine,. Others jumping to the water along Cambodia, Vietnam border and swam for their lives. One 16 year old boy drowned during this escape. And not all of them made it. Another man who couldn't swim was dragged back and was seen being beaten. They were able to break away from the gang and eventually get back home to Thailand. I'm still slightly dubious about this story to be honest. I'm not sure I believe it all because it's extraordinary.
