The wall came down, and then how soon soviet union collapsed a couple of years later. Major changes can happen very, very quickly. I use in this booka much of my writing, a theory from evolutionary biology called punctuated equilibrium. What i do not see is a little evolution one day, and a little evolution another day,. And a little evolution right after that. In other wordsi see gradualism. what i see are long periods of stasis or equilibrium punctuated by dramatic events.
