Is It a Good Idea?
Originalism is a conservative legal theory that says the law needs to be rooted in something real. The more narrowly you interpret it, the broader you're interpreting states rights according to some conservatives. But originalism isn't always consistent and doesn't necessarily aid conservatives as much as other theories like textualism.
