Public Housing Developments - It's a Government
Public housing was integrated with the 1968 Fair Housing Act. President Richard Nixon announced that this model of federally subsidized housing construction had essentially failed. The new model, one that he promised to be a lot less expensive for taxpayers, would be to provide people with money to seek housing in the private market.
