The executive director of Scientology, Bill Franks, thought that Travolta was right for the lead in Battlefield Earth. He also had all auditing records in which John TravoltA spoke about his struggles with his own sexuality. David Miscavige heard that Frank's was talking to Dravolta about the part in Battlefield Earth and demanded a meeting with him. The movie fell apart because LRH became occupied by other problems.
