There is a theoretical catch up where it's like you need to come up with the red architecture or the red algorithms, whatever. And also the AI researchers in the most advanced organizations, they want to publish research so that they perhaps can move to another organization. They have interests and incentives that are not particularly aligned with the company they work for. There is a huge aspect of tacit knowledge of just like the stuff that isn't written down and there's a lot that is not written down.
