The Inductive Particle Is a Roll Marker

There are 16 particles for things in Chinese. The inductive particle basically is a case roll marker which tells you that the verb is middle. None of these roles match anything like what we're familiar with in non-in-acclusive or negative absolute languages. So yeah really important if there's this mix of agency and other things that goes on which gives you a lot of roll marking many more than any natural language I know makes more subtleties between the core role or what we would normally consider to core roles.
