The Importance of Syllable Structure in Loanwords
Japanese syllable structure is also very strict, and yet they have no problem with borrowing words. I think you might also want to remember that a lot of times loanwords can be reanalyzed. But as far as kind of like goes, I think it's good to see that this does happen in that lines.
