Is There a Difference Between Community College and Stamford?

Not enough low income kids are applying to schools like stamford and ivy league schools. Not everyone understands that there is a big difference between community college and state universities. Some students may think, well, the community college is local and it's inexpensive,. If i send my much, if i try to send my child to stanford, even if he or she could get in, it will cost me  - you know, i have to be a millionaire to go there, or something like that. I think that is false.
