The Fed's Throwing the Kitchen Sink at the Labor Market
Job growth in this recovery has been just more persistent and sustainable than anybody expected. Companies coming out of the pandemic that had a lot of trouble getting labor now want to make sure they can continue to have the labor when they need it. This is coming at a cost, as we've had five consecutive quarters more than ever in the history of productivity contraction.
